Blaqk News is moving onto bigger and better things - we are joining forces with Skafia at BrightBlackHeaven.com is bring you the only running Blaqk Audio supersite. The blog will remain exactly the same - and will serve as the frontpage to the newly formed website. Besides the blog, BrightBlackHeaven.com will have a full featured forum (currently under maintenance) as well as a knowledge database including pictures, discography, lyrics, setlists, and more. We hope to grow a great community as the release of the new album approaches, and to share the many great times ahead.

This blog will start redirecting to the new website within the next couple of days.

More Rumored Bright Black Heaven Release Dates Surface

Prefixmag is reporting that Bright Black Heaven will be released on December 28th, 2010. Note that this source was also incorrect in the past regarding Crash Love's release date and should not be taken seriously.
This is also contrary to the previous spring rumor.

More possible release dates will be added to this post if I find more.

Update: PrefixMag has seemed to of removed the release date from their website. All that is left is '2010'.

Possible Bright Black Heaven Release Date?

According to this website, Bright Black Heaven, Blaqk Audio's sophomore album, will be released in spring of this year. This does not confirm anything and will be treated as a rumor.

Might Blaqk Audio Join Twitter?! -and- BA in ASL...

Hey, guys! No breaking news to report, at the moment, but I wanted to let you know that I am trying to find out if Blaqk Audio will be opening a Twitter account, at any point, in the near future (since they don't seem to have one, at this time).
I think that they're likely to, as the album release draws nearer...But, I guess, we will have to see.

Also, in a less official capacity, I wanted to let you guys know about my ASL project video that I posted online...For my final project for my sign language class, I signed AFI's "Love Like Winter", along with a combination of clips of other songs, including Blaqk Audio's "Again, Again and Again"...It was lots of fun, and the video's pretty cool! :-)

It was just ASL I....So, it's not perfect...But, I think that it's cool! :-)

Stiff Kittens video was never finished

Thanks AFI News HQ for this. Jade recently did an interview with Maximum Ink music magazine. Among discussing mainly AFI, he finally answers the question we have always wanted to know:

"MI: On that note, is the Blaqk Audio video for STIFF KITTENS ever going to see the light of day?

JP: It was never finished. We have all the footage that we shot but I keep forgetting that it exists. I think I need to get my hands on the footage and maybe make a short of it or something, release that footage. There was some cool stuff in there, we just never finished it and it fell apart. It would be cool to release some of the footage at least."

AFI will be doing holding a signing at Zia Records in Tempe, AZ on January 29th. I would never miss out on such an opportunity, so I will be there (probably will also be like 2 hours early). Anyway, my point is I will most likely have the opportunity to ask Davey/Jade a question, and it will be about Blaqk Audio of course. I'm making this post because I want you guys to come up with what that question is for me. Nothing too long and complicated please, something short & sweet yet meaningful is best - my time is limited up there.
