Hello, Blaqk News Readers!!! And, Thank You for the warm words of welcome!!!
I am Kristin Star, one of the new writers for this site.
I am 24 years old, and from New Jersey. I am a drug-free Vegan, and I am a singer, and a writer. I am, also, interested in acting, and hope to work in the television field, in addition to music, and writing, someday.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to write for this site, about Blaqk Audio!!! I have been a fan of Blaqk Audio, since before their album came out, and have been a fan of AFI, since I discovered them, in early 2007. I admire the guys (of both groups), as musicians, and as people...And rave about them quite frequently, to whoever will listen....And, now, I will get to do it, in an official capacity. :-)
I am looking forward to being on top of all of the latest Blaqk Audio news, whether by way of scouring the internet for information, or hopefully, even, getting it straight from the source, at some point!!! :-)
I hope that you will spread the word about this site, and help it to become the top place for people to come for Blaqk Audio related news, and information!!!
I, already, started doing a little bit of research, since being appointed, as a writer for this site, and have some fairly benign, but pertinent details to report....
The Blaqk Audio store seems to be closed/inaccessible (I think that they might be switching to a different merchant, like AFI, recently did)...However, if you were hoping to get, or buy something of a Blaqk Audio nature, for the Holidays, don't despair...There are some Blaqk Audio things, (including their music, as well as music that one, or both of the guys have collaborated with others on, and even a few t-shirts), available through Amazon, and some of their retailers.
I will continue to check to see if their store becomes available, again, but am not sure when that might happen, because, Blaqk Audio activity seems to be low, at the moment, while AFI is in the midst of their tour. But, when any of us has any new news, for you, about BA, we will be sure to tell you, right away!!!
Again, thanks for the nice welcome!!! I look forward to writing for this site...And, like most of you, eagerly await the release of Blaqk Audio's next album!!! :-)

There is an official Blaqk Audio store. On their official website it is the third latest news post. The link there takes you to their merch store.
I have tried three links to their store, (through their site, and their MySpace), over the last couple of days, and have not been able to access it...Has it worked for you, recently?!
Okay...I checked it, again, and tried going in, a different way, and you are right...it is accessible. However, it does not seem to be accessible through the main "store" links on their site, or their MySpace...but, if you click on the link for their store, in the news item about it, on their page, it will take you there. Most of the items seem to be available, and even, on sale. When we will see anything new, though, I don't know.
Thanks for letting me know.

Your welcome. The store link on the website doesn't seem to have been working for a year.

Good luck with getting any news while the band is on a hiatus. :P

I'll add that to the links section
I'm sorry but where is the News? the only post so far are introductions and new writers? !!!
There is no news yet. If there is, you will see it posted.
You're, going, to be, a writer? Think, those posts, will be, painful, to read.
Your negativity isn't welcome, here. I am a writer, and a good one...If you are incapable of comprehending, or appreciating what I write, then, don't attempt to read it.

Calling yourself a "writer," let alone a good one, is pretty laughable. Most writers of any skill level have an understanding of basic punctuation!!!!
I punctuate as I see fit. It's my creative license. Someone who doesn't even capitalize their name shouldn't find fault with the chosen punctuation of others.
~*Kristin*
And that's coming from someone who writes their name like a ~*12-year-old*~. But hey, good job - you made it through an entire post without one comma! Keep it up.
My middle name is Star, and my signature is adorable...And, completely my own prerogative!
I like commas, and will use them as frequently as I want. If you get caught up on commas, and can't get through something, clearly, you are not very intelligent.
Please, do not come to this site, and post your comments, if you can't just be decent.

I like periods, but I don't use them as frequently as I'd like because the rules of grammar make the world a happier, more easily understood place. Do you see where. it would be. exremely annoying. for someone to. punctuate like a complete dumbass. just because they. felt like it.? If you actually want people to read your work, you have to make it so that it's, well, possible to read easily enough. (I don't mean that in the content sense - purely structural.)
Please, just try reading one of your posts aloud. They're ridiculous. Good luck with your, uh, "novel." (Although I'd be willing to be that it's actually a short story stretched to novel length with the commas.)
Periods, and commas are different...Periods mean "stop", and commas mean "pause"...Therefore, my work is written just as I would want it to be read.
My novel is nearly 200 full-sized pages...filled with words.
And, frankly, I would rather people like you not read what I write...So, maybe, I should double my comma-usage.

"Commas mean pause" is what they teach people in kindergarten. Commas are actually meant to break complex sentences into logical chunks at very specific points to enhance readability. Putting commas, in the wrong place, can make this not very easy, to read, aloud and interrupt, your message.
Also, your definition of where commas should and shouldn't be used actually isn't your prerogative. Any serious news organization (including news blogs) should adhere to the accepted journalistic standards of writing. That includes proper comma use. Maybe you could read the "Associated Press Stylebook" or "The Elements of Style" by William Strunk and E.B. White.
Your goal is to serve your readers, is it not? Then why not write in the correct style that is easiest to read?
P.S. It's an unwritten rule of presentation of self to not use multiple exclamation points. We get it. You're excited. But they also make you look half your age.
I don't care what 'age I look'...And, I reserve the right to use as many commas, or exclamation points, wherever I want to...It's my writing, and makes sense to me. My work is not unreadable, unless you have some kind of problem, where you are shocked into some kind of stupor by commas.
If you don't like my stories, just look at the pictures/read the other posts.
I have been doing a good job, since I've been here, and have gotten needless, ridiculous criticism, from people like you, who, apparently, find it entertaining, and interesting to spend your time online, 'correcting' the punctuation of others. Have you no decent hobby?!
This is a Blaqk Audio Blog...If your comments are not about Blaqk Audio, then, please, cease with them.
~*Kristin*
...And, "PS"-You don't just put a "PS" as part of your rant...It generally, comes as an after thought...After your name...after your complete message, etc....We could battle grammar, all day...But, please, only post about Blaqk Audio, from this point on.
